NRZ / ARTIST 01Pop after exile—free, queer and uncompromisingly personal.
Artist bio
Sergéy is the current recording name of Belarusian singer-songwriter and actor Sergey Ulyanov, who previously released music as Ray (Рэй) and ULYANOOW. His songs appeared on radio and television in five countries, and he performed concerts and festival sets in six: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Türkiye, Mexico, and the United States.
After political pressure in Belarus, the war and displacement from Ukraine, he rebuilt his life in Los Angeles. Earlier in his career, he publicly performed a heterosexual pop persona; today he no longer separates the queer person from the artist.
The 2026 Ray anniversary project is released through his own label for artists in exile. Sergéy created its mastering, design, editorial concept and continuous vinyl mix without generative AI.
“Don’t lose yourself. Keep fighting—and your sun will rise.”
